Esmonde Road is part of the Northern Busway development. Kauri Park impressed the contractor with the evenness of species lines produced which would result in instant appeal in such a high profile site such as Esmonde Road.

Flexibility with delivery service was also a factor that gained the contractors confidence, as night time work and deliveries were part of working with busy roads like the Northern Motorway.
