Marsden Wateways

Marsden Waterways is a high end residential subdivision with an extensive waterways network and a marina that is open to the Whangarei Harbour. The project has two aspects, streetscape and environmental. The location of the Marsden waterways is environmentally sensitive being adjacent to a harbour and an estuary. Areas of saline and fresh water wetlands have been installed to assist in storm water control. The environmental pressures of coastal conditions can be extreme and unforgiving in projects like this. Species selection is crucial.
